CADRE RESTRUCTURING OF POSTAL GROUP ‘C’ - UNION SUGGESTIONS SUBMITTED TO SECRETARY, DOP
Dear Comrades,
Today (17.03.2017) Com. R. N. Parashar, Secretary General, NFPE and Com.
M. Krishnan, Secretary General, Confederation & Ex-Secretary
General, NFPE & Shri. D. Theagarajan, Secretary General, FNPO met
Shri B. V. Sudhakar Secretary, Department of Posts and submitted a
detailed letter explaining the issues arising out of implementation of
Cadre Restructuring proposals of Postal Group ‘C’ with the suggestions
of the staff side to mitigate the grievances of the staff and held
discussion with him. The Staff side requested the Secretary, Department
of Posts to keep the implementation of Cadre Restructuring proposal in
abeyance till the issues raised by the staff side are sorted out
amicably. Secretary (Posts) assured positive consideration. As Secretary
(Posts) was busy today, detailed discussions will be held later.

On 10-03-2017 a General body meeting held at Rajahmundry HO under JCA and nearly 70 members attended and unanimously agreed to go for Strike on 16-03-2017.

Sub:- Postponement of the one day strike from 15th February 2017 to 16th March 2017.
Ref:- Our strike notice dated 28.12.2016.
Kindly refer to the notice served by us on 28th December 2016, for one
day strike of Central Government employees on15th February 2017. (copy
enclosed for ready reference). This is to inform you that due to the
notification of election to five state assemblies by the Elected
Commission of India, the proposed strike on 15th February 2017 is
postponed to 16th March 2017. The Charter of demands in pursuance of
which the employees will embark upon the one-day strike action is
enclosed.

For 3 Hrs GDS work entry level pay was fixed as Rs.10000.
Ordinary Leave : 15 days in every Jan and Jul and accumulated upto 180 days.
Emergency Leave : 5 days in a year cannot carry over.
ML : 26 weeks
Paternity Leave : 7 days

GOOD NEWS on GDS Committee Report
MINISTER GRANTED PERMISSION TO PUBLISH THE GDS COMMITTEE REPORT WITH THE
CONDITION THAT THE ELECTION COMMISSION'S APPROVAL SHOULD BE OBTAINED
BEFORE PUBLISHING THE REPORT.
Today Directorate has informed the Secretary General, NFPE that Hon'ble
Minister of Communications has granted permission to publish the GDS
Committee Report with a condition that Election Commission's approval
should be obtained before publishing the Report.
Directorate has also informed that they will meet the Election
commission on 16th January (Monday) and submit the letter seeking
approval for publishing the GDS Committee Report.
